MARIETTA, GA — On Tuesday, July 9, Chipotle Mexican Grill will open a new Marietta restaurant at 3606 Sandy Plains Road, with Georgia’s first Chipotlane, the new drive-thru pickup lane that allows customers to pick up orders without leaving their cars.
On the heels of the Marietta Chipotlane, Chipotle will open another Atlanta location on Aug. 6 at 1080 Peachtree Street in Buckhead. growing the restaurant’s footprint to 53 locations across the state. In celebration, Chipotle will give away 50 T-shirts at each opening.
Chipotle had approximately 2,500 restaurants as of March 31, 2019, in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Germany and is the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants. It has more than more than 70,000 employees. Steve Ells, founder and executive chairman, first opened Chipotle with a single restaurant in Denver, Colorado, in 1993.
